Explainer videos
A simple and straightforward brief. Pupils are asked to produce a video that explains a key concept, technique or strategy. Pupils work at developing a deeper understanding of the subject and verbalising their reasoning.
An effective strategy is to tel the pupils they are producing the video for younger pupils or parents who want to know what they are learning in school.
Maths Stories
Pupils produce a dramatic video that teaches a maths concept or technique.
By miming the video while one pupil tells the story very little rehearsal is needed. This is an excellent way for pupils to understand real world applications of maths.
